I doubt that Franzese ever had any contact with MacDonald. Franzese claims in the video he was in prison with Mac in LA and Oregon, but he gives no dates or supporting evidence. When Mac was in Prison in Texas, Franzese was in California and New York. When Mac was moved to Oregon in 1981, Franzese was in New York in jail and testifying for the government. None of the dates correlate for the two men being in the same place at the same time.
The show was so rife with incompetence and mistakes I finally turned it off. Franzese didn’t know Kimberly’s or Kristen’s name. He claimed he forgot. He seemed to not know Mac was a Green Beret. He stated the first degree murder charge was for Colette (it was for Kristin). And on and on. There was no indication that Franzese studied the case at all. There seemed to be little preparation. He probably just used a familiar, infamous name to try and hook viewers and subscribers.
I don’t know if the “retelling” was pro or con MacDonald, but if the first ten or so minutes is any indication, the video is just one person’s opinion based on a questionable claim of contact, and on numerous errors and incorrect data.
What do you think, specifically, was the most important part of the video?

Obviously when JMac got upset with the prison guard and basically wanted to Kill him. That shows a complete lack of self control. But no worries about this video. I felt that the Family Annilihater was more exposing to his state of mind. Is it a Infomercial? Probably, but I still found it interesting

Redpacer - you are ridiculous.....however, you are correct that being a player doesn't "necessarily" make one a murderer, but in this case inmate is much more than a player. The DNA evidence alone proves beyond all doubt that inmate slaughtered Colette, Kimmie, Kristy, and his unborn son.
The "mystery hair" that the defense has always said would prove to be from the murderer is a 100% no doubt about DNA match to inmate. period. no wiggle room.
inmate is a lying, cheating, narcissistic, sociopathic bastard that slaughtered his beautiful family and then continually shows the yellow streak of the coward that he is......he is guilty and thinking beings with at least 2 functional brain cells know this....

No worries I’m still here on this Forum. Periodically I’ll check in for updates and any new information. To pass time I’ve been binge watching Fatal Viison. Thanks again

Which version of Fatal Vision, and what have you learned?

Haven’t learned anything that I already had a opinion of. Mcguiness wanted to sell books, and would have gone to great lengths to frame JMAC. There’s nothing to debate about here

HUH? McGuinness framed Macdonald? How is that even possible? McGuinness came along well after MacDonald brutally murdered his family. The book came out in 1983, four years after MacDonald was convicted and the trial was over. McGuinness was never involved in the investigation and Fatal Vision was published long after the jury made their decision. So how did McGuinness frame McDonald? What great lengths did he go to? Facts and evidence Red, not ridiculous utterances and baseless innuendo. Opinions, intelligent opinions, are based on facts and logic.
By the way, I incorrectly believed you were talking about the movie, not the book. That is why I inquired as to the version. Sorry.

Sure JMac invited Mqguiness into the equation. Nobody is denying that. But fatal vision sensationalism of the event made mqguines a Hollywood A lister (a star) . This led to other books such as Blind Faith. Let’s not totally discount the impact of the slant of the books solving of the case to Mqguiness’s reputation. Now it appears as this Forum poster , Red1975Pacer, has been marginalized on this Forum. Just because someone is not a “sheep “ to “popular “ opinions, don’t automatically assume that their a “fool “.

McGuinness was a celebrated and best-selling author BEFORE Fatal Vision, beginning with “The Making of the President” (1968). That is why MacDonald approached him. Other writers, including Joseph Wambaugh, turned MacDonald down, because they thought he wanted too much money and/or control, or that he was guilty (Wambaugh ). McGuinness entered the deal with an open mind, but discovered the truth and wrote it; MacDonald is a brutal family annihilator and a liar.
I believe you play the fool, to push buttons. Tell me, how are you marginalized here?
